Artist Statement:

I grew up in rural CT with Artistic parents, so boredom in my home meant someone would put a pencil in my hand.  Thankfully, I came to love my creative side rather than run from it.  I am a restorer of old paintings (as is my father) which keeps me “in the paint” but is often very slow arduous work.  I find that painting has been a wonderful way to consistently challenge myself in a very fulfilling and unrestrained way.  It continues to be a journey that is both separate and parallel to my life.  The gift is not in my ability but in the calling to do it.
